Do I have to use Google Firebase for cloud-based storage?

Not at all! While Spezi offers a module with Google Firebase as a starting point for backend storage, you can incorporate other storage platforms of your choosing.

Design

Have Spezi Modules incorporated accessibility features?

Yes! Our modules uses allow for dynamic text sizing and color contrast that are compatible with Apple's settings. This makes it accessible, for example, for elderly user studies or patients with low vision.

I am interested in customizing some of the visuals for my application. How can I do this?

Each of our Spezi modules have light and dark mode functionality implemented, allowing for easy incorporation into the app. Our modules are also flexible for customized design choices.

Are these design features available for Android?

Yes! All design features are compatible on Android devices as well using a separate module, including light and dark mode and other color themes, buttons and other reusable components, scalable typography, and icons and graphics. For more information, refer to our GitHub page: Spezi Kt
